PORT DE PORTOCOLOM
Welcome to Mallorca's largest natural harbor, the fantastic Port de Portocolom. The name of the village has its origins in a legend, according to which Christopher Columbus was born here. Far away from the tourist strongholds, the fishing village in the east of Mallorca has an authentic atmosphere. The extensive harbor promenade and the historic old town in particular offer a picturesque sight for visitors. A detour to Portocolom is also worthwhile for bathers. At Cala Marçal, a paradisiacal beach awaits sun-seeking yacht vacationers. Shopping enthusiasts can stroll through the quaint alleyways of the old town and discover authentic Mallorcan fashion. One romantic boutique follows the next. In addition to exclusive clothing, Portocolom's stores also offer a large selection of extravagant handicrafts.
If you are looking for a secluded bay with crystal-clear sea, you will have a wonderful time in the east of Mallorca. Far away from mass tourism, the dreamlike Cala Varques fulfills vacation dreams. The unspoiled bay is ideal for you to reach by yacht. The small sandy beach creates a picturesque setting. Snorkelers and divers will get their money's worth in the turquoise-blue water with its diverse underwater world. If you steer the yacht north from here, you will see the imposing "Puente Natural" rock gate. A little further north, the coastline, which has been washed away by the sea, reveals its full splendor. During your visit to the local cave landscape, you will not cease to be amazed.
The ruins of the Roman rock castle rise imposingly from the green surroundings of the region. The mighty limestone walls can be seen from afar and lend the Mallorcan table mountain a special mystique. Once a defensive structure against predatory pirates, the Castell de Santueri is now a popular attraction for visitors to the east of Mallorca.
Guests at Sa Llotja can enjoy Mallorcan delicacies on a spacious sun terrace. The maritime flair of Portocolom is particularly noticeable with the view of the natural harbor basin. Seasonal products from the island and finely tuned drinks round off the experience at Sa Llotja.
